A Sweet Connection: The New Kablon Farms Chocolate Bar

Posted by Michela North on

Crafting chocolate that tells a story is our passion, and our latest bar is a testament to that commitment. Introducing the Kablon Farms Philippines Bar. We're thrilled to share with you to a chocolate bar that not only delights the senses but also embodies the rich legacy of Kablon Farms in the Philippines. This farm is more than just a place where cacao is grown; it's a story of family values, hard work, and generational success.

With deep roots in the Pantua family, Kablon Farms’ dedication to quality and sustainability resonates deeply with us, especially through the personal connection of our team member, Kim. Join us as we explore the journey of this unique cacao from the lush landscapes of Kablon Farms to your hands, and discover the heartfelt connection that makes this bar truly extraordinary.

A Family Legacy of Flavor and Tradition

Kablon Farms, located in the lush region of Tupi, South Cotabato, is more than just a source of premium cacao; it’s a beacon of family heritage and dedication. Founded in 1999 by Ernesto “Lolo Teto” Pantua and his wife, Dr. Leonor “Lola Leoring” Pantua, the farm has grown from a humble dream into a celebrated producer of high-quality cacao and other natural products. Their legacy is carried forward by Eunice Marie P. Prudente and her family, who continue to uphold their grandparents' vision with a commitment to organic farming and sustainable practices.

The Pantua family’s hands-on approach to farming, combined with their deep respect for tradition, has led to the cultivation of some of the most flavorful cacao beans in the world. Their farm practices are rooted in biodiverse farming, which contributes to the distinct and robust flavor profile of their cacao. From tree-to-bar processing to maintaining organic certification, Kablon Farms’ dedication to quality is evident in every bite.

A Personal Connection: Kim’s Story

Our connection to Kablon Farms is deeply personal, thanks to our team member Kim, our lead product researcher and flavor innovator. Kim’s family history is intricately linked to the Philippines, adding an extra layer of significance to our collaboration.

Kim's grandmother, Mercedes Soler, was born in the Philippines and later immigrated to the US, where she continued to share her cultural heritage through cooking and community involvement. When Kim shared Kablon Farms’ cacao with her family, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Her grandmother, who speaks Tagalog, even exclaimed, “Ang sarap!” meaning “It’s delicious!”—a true testament to the exceptional quality of the cacao.

Introducing Our New Bar

We’re beyond excited to unveil our new chocolate bar, crafted with Kablon Farms’ exquisite cacao. This bar represents not only the superior quality of Kablon’s beans but also the heartfelt connection between our two teams. Stay tuned for a flavor experience that captures the essence of the Philippines with every bite.

Our collaboration ensures that each bar embodies the dedication and passion of both Ritual and Kablon Farms.
